1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the SmartBottle application (“the App”) or visiting this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App or this site.

2. Description of Service

SmartBottle is an unofficial iOS application that communicates directly with REBO smart bottles using reverse-engineered Bluetooth commands. It provides water level monitoring, intake tracking, HealthKit integration, and reminder features.

The App is distributed exclusively through Apple’s TestFlight program. It is not available on the Apple App Store.

3. No Affiliation

SmartBottle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Rebo or any company associated with the REBO brand. “REBO” is used only to describe compatibility with the hardware. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

4. Use of the Application

• The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use with your own REBO hardware.
• The Bluetooth protocol implementation was developed through independent reverse-engineering. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially use the protocol details or application code without permission.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to use the hardware and any associated protocols.
• You must not use the App for any illegal purpose or in a way that could damage the hardware or other users’ experience.
• The App is provided “as is” with no guarantees of continued functionality if the bottle firmware changes.

5. Donations and Support

Donations to this project are completely voluntary. They help cover the cost of the Apple Developer Program membership and the time required to maintain and improve the App.

• Donations do not entitle you to any special features, priority support, or ownership rights.
• Donations are non-refundable.
• We will never require payment to use the basic functionality of the App.

6. Apple TestFlight and Distribution

Distribution occurs through Apple’s TestFlight service. You are also bound by Apple’s TestFlight terms and the App Review Guidelines as they apply to beta software.

Apple may review, approve, or reject builds at their discretion. We have no control over Apple’s review decisions.

7. Health Data Disclaimer

The App can optionally write water intake information to Apple Health. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any health-related data and for how you use that data. This App is not a medical device and should not be relied upon for medical decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers of SmartBottle shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Damage to or failure of your REBO hardware
• Loss of data
• Inaccurate hydration tracking
• Issues caused by iOS updates or bottle firmware changes

9. No Warranty

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
