SmartBottle is a native iOS app that restores full functionality to the REBO smart bottle — direct Bluetooth control, real-time water levels, daily intake tracking, Apple Health integration, and smart reminders.
Works on iPhone. No subscription. No cloud. Just your bottle.
Rebo sold the hardware.
Then removed the software.
Many people purchased a REBO smart bottle expecting ongoing app support. The official applications have been removed and the backend services discontinued. Despite this, the company’s website and social media channels remain active with no clear indication that support has ended.
Owners were left with functional hardware that could no longer be used as intended. SmartBottle exists to restore the original functionality through a reverse-engineered native iOS application.
This project is the result of significant independent work to reverse-engineer the bottle’s Bluetooth protocol.

Daily intake tracking
Automatically logs drinks (level drops), ignores refills. Set a personal daily goal.
Apple Health integration
Writes every tracked sip as Dietary Water. Toggle on/off in settings.

Phone notifications with smart reset on actual drinking. Configurable schedule window.
Direct Bluetooth
Communicates with the bottle using the original protocol. No cloud, no account.

Flash the LEDs to locate it. Program independent reminders that run on the bottle itself.

Why isn’t this on the App Store?
SmartBottle cannot be published on the Apple App Store. The application restores functionality for third-party hardware by communicating with the bottle using a reverse-engineered protocol and references the original product branding. This is not permitted under Apple’s App Review Guidelines regarding trademarks and third-party hardware support.
Distribution is therefore limited to Apple’s external TestFlight program.
Available via TestFlight
SmartBottle is distributed through Apple’s official TestFlight program for external beta testing. A public link will be published on this page once external testing has been enabled.
This website provides the required Privacy Policy and Terms of Service necessary for external TestFlight distribution.
In the meantime, you may request access by email.
